Last Friday was the second annual Hillside Art Fair.
This is an annual event where our student artists have an opportunity to sell their work to friends, families, and cognoscenti art dealers. It was quite exciting to see the scope and quality of their work. There were lots and lots of sales to inspire our budding artists who generously donated a portion of their proceeds to the Hillside Student Community School Scholarship Fund so that future students can enjoy everything that Hillside has to offer. In short, a grand time was had by all.
As with most community events, it couldn’t have been done without the help of a host of willing teachers and parents. Dawn Rogal and Kathy Frugé-Brown lead a sterling group of parent volunteers including Janis Bayley-Renderos, Wendy Medlock, Ana Southworth, and Betty Woo. Last but not least, we want to thank Jean Sherrard for allowing us to muscle in on his Family Film Night.
Be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s Fair!
