Sixth Graders Volunteer at the Emergency Feeding Program

Last Friday, Jean took Hillside’s Sixth Grade to the warehouse of the Emergency Feeding Program of Seattle and King County. Our hardworking Sixth Graders loaded up dozens of individual bags with a wide selection of food and then helped reorganize boxes, moving them to different sections of the warehouse.

The Emergency Feeding Program provides a proactive, non-traditional approach to food assistance that will eventually lead to self-reliance for individuals in need of services.
