December 13 – Film Night and Holiday Art Show

Start the evening with the a little shopping and then stay for the show.

Holiday Art Show

Hillside’s student artists will sell their arts and crafts with 10% of their sales being donated to the Hillside Scholarship Fund.  The sale will run from 6pm until the movie starts at 7pm and then again during intermission.

This was a really fun event last year with friends and relatives coming early to do a little shopping then staying for a fun family movie.

Students are invited to bring in up to ten pieces of their very best work. This may be artwork (both 2D and 3D) or crafts such as jewelry, plush toys, candles and so on. Restocking will not be allowed. Students will label and price their own work and bring it to school on December 13. If you have any questions about the sale please contact Dawn Rogal.

And the film will be:

Harvey, with Jimmy Stewart.

Good-natured, gentle Elwood P. Dowd is convinced that his closest friend is an invisible 6’3″ rabbit named Harvey. To his sister Veta Louise, Elwood and his ‘imaginary friend’ are thorns in her side and threaten her family’s standing in the community, as well as her daughter’s pending engagement. Delightful hijinks ensue in this delicious and often hilarious comedy.

December 20 – Yule Ball

We are delighted that this great annual student-driven event for the upper school is again on the calendar, and look forward to hearing about what our students are planning.   Invitations with details will be coming.

December 23 – January 3 – Winter Break
