Hillside’s History Feast 

This year our History Feast event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th from 5pm-8:30pm.

RSVP/Ticket purchases must be made by midnight this Wednesday, April 5th, so we have enough time to calculate food and rental requirements. (Your purchase of tickets will serve as your RSVP to the event.) Tickets are $15. per guest, and seating is limited (students IN the feast do not need a ticket!)

Mount Saint Helens Trip 

Hillside Earth Science and Environmental Science Families (aka grades 5-8) will be attending an overnight field trip to Mount Saint Helens for May 2nd until May 3rd this spring. Students will learn about Mount Saint Helens both from a plate tectonics/earth science perspective as well as from a disturbance/succession/environmental science perspective from the educators at the Volcano Outdoor School (VOS).

The VOS will provide meals and bunk rooms for the students. The VOS offers vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. meal options. Participants will leave by 8 am on Tuesday, May 2nd and return after 3 pm on Wednesday, May 3rd. It’s been a major highlight of the year for past students.

Happy Arab American Heritage Month

Our Global Studies students recently finished a lesson on Ancient Egypt, which inspired their art projects celebrating Arab American trailblazers. Take a look at some of the portraits! They are beautiful and well researched!
