Here’s what is happening at Hillside in November…
Swashbucklers:
Hillside Cavaliers are on the move! Kael and the Hillside Cavaliers fencers are competing in tournaments around the area. They have already travelled to Seattle on Saturday, November 1 and will be competing in Portland on Saturday, November 15th. Please contact Kael for additional details!
She’s Crafty:
This season Hillside’s Leslie Howells will be showing her puppets at the Urban Craft Uprising and the PRATT show.
Spotlight On—World Literature:
Eighth graders in their last block of Classic Literature studied All Quiet on the Western Front. In this classic war novel, Paul Baumer and his fellow classmates were led to believe that war was an honorable and valorous pursuit. In class we studied some of the propaganda of these times and students created these propaganda posters.
