Don’t Miss Seattle’s Urban Craft Uprising – December 7th – 8th
Urban Craft Uprising is Seattle’s largest indie craft show! This biannual show is carefully
curated and juried to ensure the best mix of crafts and arts, along with quality and originality.
So why are we alerting you to this opportunity? Because Hillside’s Leslie Howells (who adds her own special artistic touch to our winter and spring dramas and oh so much more) is participating this year with her unique and witty puppets.

You may not know this but Leslie was a Zoology major before graduating the Tyler School of Art. She was always drawn to toys: animal works, in particular. As a child, she would craft hand-sewn creatures for friends. Her work in college often explored animal forms in a variety of media. After graduating, she was included in a Jim Henson tribute at the Museum of Art and Design (then, the American Craft Museum) in New York City.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see some of the best craft around. But if you can’t make it, Leslie will have her Etsy shop updated with current inventory by mid-December. You can reach it by clicking this link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/lesliehowells?ref=search_shop_redirect.
