Giorgio was selected as one of thirty of students in Seattle for the leadership program of FASCA (Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors). This is a non-profit educational organization with a main goal of encouraging 14 – 18-year-old overseas Chinese students to cultivate leadership skills, develop deeper knowledge of Chinese culture and promote community service. After a completion of training and community service requirements (over a period of two years), these students are eligible to the “Volunteer Service Award” given by the White House, and also to be recognized as “cultural ambassadors” by the Taiwanese government.
