Late Breaking News about Brad’s Arduino Club

In response to students’ preferences and availability, the Arduino club will run 2 days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8:00 – 8:50 am, beginning Wednesday, November 9, 2011.

To allow more students to attend the Arduino club, Hillside is offering to oversee club members’ younger siblings during the club time. On Wednesdays, younger siblings will be overseen by Ashley, Hillside’s Spanish teacher, in the Drama /Spanish room. Merideth will oversee them in the 5th-6th room on Fridays. There will be no charge for this service. In both cases, however, overseen students will be expected to work independently or read silently while the overseeing teacher prepares for the day. We are grateful for Ashley and Merideth’s support in helping to make the club possible to all students.

We will announce the cost of the club when we get our final head count. As it stands we have had six students express interest in attending, and if those 6 students commit, the price of the club will be $350 tuition per student, plus a $100 supply fee each.
